Breakthrough Breast Cancer is the UK's leading charity committed to fighting breast cancer through research, campaigning and education.



About Breakthrough Breast Cancer

Thanks to our generous supporters, we established the UK's first dedicated breast cancer research centre in 1999 - the Breakthrough Toby Robins Breast Cancer Research Centre in the Mary-Jean Mitchell Green Building at The Institute of Cancer Research. Here, our world class scientists carry out pioneering research into breast cancer, bringing together different research specialisms under one roof.

Our research centre is now at full capacity with 120 scientists working on groundbreaking breast cancer research projects. So we have launched three new Breakthrough Research Units across the UK - in Manchester, King's College London and Edinburgh - to enable our research to continue and expand, and to give hope to more women with breast cancer.

Scientists at all our Breakthrough Research Units are aiming to improve and develop new treatments for different types of breast cancer. They are also working towards developing more targeted treatments, as well as looking at ways to detect and prevent early forms of the disease.

Breakthrough Breast Cancer has agreed to commit five years of funding to these new Units, so the need for regular gifts and for cash donations has never been stronger.

Affiliate Campaign

We hope that by working with affiliates we can increase awareness of Breakthrough, highlighting the necessity of long-term funding for our dedicated scientists and their vital and pioneering research.

By launching this campaign, we are trying to expand the ways in which we encourage new supporters to join us. We are particularly keen to recruit committed donors, who are willing to give ongoing support to help build a future free from the fear of breast cancer through a regular monthly gift.

Flat rate of £5

Cash Donations = 15% of donation amount
