    Hi,

I'm looking to sell my mobile phone recylcing site, because I have NO time to work on the site at all

Domain is xxx.cashmyphone.co.ukxxx - remove the xxx obv.

Not been indexed long, but have already had 2 sales worth £3 each!

Design + Development Cost $2,200. And I'm looking for $2500 as a BIN price.

Traffic is minimal but is converting well!

Huge market, tons of potential, great domain.

Let me know if you are interested.

Looking for a quick sale so will reduce the bin to $2,200.

All that is needed is a webgains account, and you simply download the feed .csv and upload through the backend. Nothing complicated AT ALL.

Domain is reg'd at Godaddy and will be sent on payment being received.

please dont take this the wrong way... but did you seriously pay 2200 for design etc for one data feed site???

I wish you best of luck with the sale but the site is probably worth 10% of your estimated value!

    10%? Are you serious?

You have to remember 50% of that was for the coding of the php. I pay people reasonable prices for their work.

Please PM me the people you know who could do this; design, html/css and php for $200 or even around that mark. (Geniunely serious question)

I am definitely serious, I too have FEW mobile sites (and i pay people a reasonable amount for thier work, interms of where they located!!, If i got an indian SEO company i am NEVER going to pay them same amount as an english seo company, if they dont like it its fine as PLENTY of people who are willing...) and these guys took about 500 dollars and gave me full design (php) and 5 data feeds, Full backend and whole lot more. If you have paid 1000 for php then i am sorry you have been had!

I will send you a pm in few days and they are right now deliveirng my project (which is late) and like builders once work starts to finish they always start looking around so i wnat them FOCUSED :tup

but i mean this honestly...$2000 is WAYYYYYYYYY too much... where did you find these guys? try Odesk, go with reputation and work history. Dont quote anything above $400 in work spec, an dont pay anything more then 10% as an upfront payment. When you are specing the work with them during interview stage and they say its going to be more then increase it by $100 but no more..

    I hope this helps!

so, you are trying to sell a new website, with no stats, minimal traffic, no keyword domain name, is not optimised for seo, has no content other than datafeeds and has lorem ipsum on the front page, all for $2,500? I wish you luck.

I can never understand why people wish to reinvent the wheel. There are some perfectly good scripts out there that will deal with datafeeds, some are free and others minimal cost.

I'm looking to recover my costs on development, thats all.

    Hey,

    Thanks for the advice.

I tend to stick with English/American coders, hense the higher cost of development.

Will take a look once you've PM'd me

    Cheers!

boots are being generous at £18,333 for an iphone 3g 16gb, might flog them mine
    http://www.cashmyphone.co.uk/recycle...3G-S-16GB.html lol

ok seriously now.. what you have paid out is of no regard to what someone else WILL pay for a site like this, it's not worth $2000, it's worth more like a few hundred, you may get lucky and drop on someone who'll shell that cash out but it won't be in here I guess.. have you tried Flippa: The #1 Marketplace for Buying and Selling Web Sites ?

I hate to be so blunt but the other comments are right, I wish you luck in finding someone who would pay a couple thousand dollars for the site but PHP coding is cheap thesedays if you find the right guys, we've got an amazing company we use for overflow work that works for $5 per HOUR! and delivers quality work and have worked of some of the most complex things we've ever coded. (and no pm's asking me which company it is from anyone lol we're keeping them quite busy enough! )

good luck but I think you need to revise your aspirations downwards a touch

    Ok cheers for the responses.

I guess I didn't understand how cheap it is to hire a PHP coder, It's all above my head! I suppose I deemed the cost of development fairly reasonable, obviously not!

I'm just looking to recoup my costs, not looking to "rip" anyone off.

    Thanks,
    Haynesey

slightly disagree with you here.. sometimes scripts alone are not enough and unique websites and additional funcationality will need a proffessional developer (atleast in my case where my programming skills leave a lot to be desired!)

but $2500 is well..... no way... Only reason why i posted here was i though he really did pay $2500!!

Tweak your website a little. Remove the dummy text, see if you can get a fix for the Boots listings, they don't offer cash they offer points. If you want to make your loss back quickly why not sale the rights? Off course you may have to get some sort of support in place.

If you want to make your money back resale the script @ $100 a pop, you could even offer it for a limited time or limited copies, say x20. Your are most likely to make your money back like this quicker.
