A domain like that I would probably sell via a broker. I don't think you'll get anywhere to close to the value of the domain on these forums.

Firstly, I hope you had a great Christmas and wish you all the best for 2012.

As Dave kindly pointed out i tend to have greater success in selling my own names over that of a broker, in fact i cant remember the last time a broker ever actually sold one of my names, it's been that long...

I come to the conclusion many years ago that if you want to get good monies for a domain you go direct to the buyer yourself, why pay a broker commission when all they do is a half hearted job and in most cases don't find a buyer as they don't put the research and effort in.

Every domain auction I've ever attended has been full of domainers, that's not how you sell domains for big ticket prices.... you need companies who would be interested in those names attending and bidding against each other, that's how... brokers frustrate me as they tend to have a little black book, make a few calls to other people they have sold domains to in the past, again, normally other domainers... and if nothing comes of their 1hr of trying they fade in to the background until their contract is up.

I would have loved to have post > BREAKS.COM for sale in the " Travel & Leisure " section of A4U as that's the perfect area which i need to target and make aware of this premium travel name, unfortunately they don't have a website for sale section and i didn't want to spam it (If mods are reading this and would allow me to promote breaks.com in that section, that would be greatly appreciated).

By posting in this section i can only hope that other people who work for travel related companies here on A4U see this thread pop-up when hitting the " new posts " tab in the menu... alternatively someone who clearly see's this is a fantastic opportunity to own a cracking travel name. I've sold a number of high profile names to individuals and companies here on A4U so anything can happen if the right people pass-by this thread.
