I dont know if anyone has been bidding on .asia tld, but the bids are going nuts.
For example I bid on sexshop.asia $3000 I thought I would get it, it right now has bids of $54,000 and closes in 8 hours, so it may still rise
Cooking.asia 3 days to go and bids are over $3000.
Will .asia be worth more than .com, why are people bidding so high?

.asia will never be worth more than .com , and people are bidding high just like .EU / .mobi were based on hype
For the price of Flowers.mobi you could have near enough bought the whole set of 'top mobi' names for sale this week eg. men.mobi drugs.mobi etc etc.
There is only one group getting rich here...
ps. this is probably in the wrong forum? as no names are for sale...

Dont most people type direct into google these days anyway, the days of wrapping www and .com round a keyword to find a site are long gone. Or do people still do that??
At end of the day its site content and backlinks that determine how high you rank on Google. Just look howmany big keywords wikipedia ranks for at number 1, or on page 1. And all of those pages start Wikipedia!
I still strongly believe it's the site behind the domain that is key, not just the key word!

um, surely if .asia takes off it will devalue .hk?
And unless your .asia site is in 100 languages then most people coming direct will be dissapointed! Id say you are better off targeting your site eg for .hk !
