Affiliate Marketing in the Republic of Ireland

Hello Everyone,

I'm really interested in learning more about AM in Ireland (Republic of, not Northern). Who are the big affiliates specifically targeting this market? Are they generally UK/US based affiliates rather than people actually sitting in Ireland?

How sophisticated is the affiliate community in the ROI?

Any ideas about growing a programme in the ROI appreciated.

Hi Chris,

The affiliate situation in the ROI is quite different from the UK and the USA in several ways most of which stem from the fact that ecommerce on the whole hasn't yet kicked off as much over there as it has here and as such there are currently less opportunities for affiliates to promote specifically Irish merchants and the level of affiliate support is not as high as in the UK. We've recently launched Webgains.ie. From what we've seen for a merchant there are great opportunities in Ireland if you approach it correctly. I'll have one of my colleagues contact you to discuss it further.
