Online Marketing in Russia

Hi,

We're a global company, operating in nearly 35 countries.
As we're venturing into online marketing in (to us) unknown territories it would be good with some input from thos of you that are active in other markets than just UK.

Anyone with experience/knowledge of the Russian market?
Obviously I need to find a partner to help us with ppc in Yandex but I'm also interested in finding a reliable company for other online activities (display ads, email, blogvertising etc).

I would be grateful for any hints or if someone could point me in the right direction.

Call me cynical but I have yet to find even one Russian based merchant that isn't in some way crooked. Signed up to a few over time. Either their tracking is deliberately non existent and/or they don't communicate.

There are a few UK and European based merchants which trade TO Russia with affiliate programs and they are obviously on the whole more reliable. Again however there is the propensity for online card fraud so expect a significant number of declines.
