Insurance - is it necessary for affiliate marketers?

Hi all,

Do you have to carry insurance to be an affiliate? I've never seen it mentioned on various affiliate sites but wanted to check whether it's wise or necessary to have professional indemnity cover or public liability cover. Any advice or thoughts would be very welcome!

FYI, I have a number of travel programmes, pet products, gifts etc on my various sites but nothing financial, in case that makes a difference.

Or, to put it another way, does anyone else take out insurance, either professional indemnity or public liability cover?

I have the same question. Also, if anyone does get insurance which providers have been competitive?
