Just wondering if anyone can recommend a business savings account for a limited company?

Been looking at the Barclays options and they offer a useless 0.5% - 1.5% interest. There must be better options available?

I just wish egg had a business account...

    Cheers,

    Chris

My IFA recommended Standard Life Bank Business Savings and I've been really happy with them.

They have different types of accounts depending on the access you need. They have tiered interest, so the higher the balance, the higher the interest.

    Their telephone number is 0845 755 5662.

I've been looking around for one recently.

Best rates I've found so far were at Standard Life Bank - www.standardlifebank.com.

Can't remember what the rates were of hand but they were a lot higher than the high street banks are offering

Did you do a lot of research before going for Standard Life or did you just rely on the IFA's advice?

They seemed the best to me, but I'm still trying to find the time to check others out.

    Chris,

I didn't do any research into it, I just went with her advice. So if you happen to find a business account with higher interest, please let us know.

Wow - standard life bank looks excellent. Can't believe the big 4 banks rip off business so much!

Thanks very much for suggesting them.

Not that I'm aware of. I would definitely promote it.

Thanks again - just opened an account with Standard Life. Will let you know if anything goes wrong but from first impressions they seem very good.

I forgot to mention that, probably because it's never caused any problems for me.

(They offer a same-day transfer for £28, but that would make an awfully big dent in your interest!)

We have a Standard Life one - apparently you can open up mini accounts within your account so you can put in the ££ for the VAT man, taxman, and anyone else who's after your cash... very useful for keeping tabs on what you have and haven't got!

Might be wrong (haven't got all the details to hand) but I don't think that applies to the internet accounts - there was definately something it didn't apply to.
