=[Book1]Sheet2!$C$3
refers to Workbook1, Sheet2, CellC3
=Sheet2!$C$3
refers to Sheet2, CellC3 in the same workbook.
You should be able to work something out from that.
I am p/t caretaker as well as affiliate and just got question from our Artist group treasurer can anyone help as i don't use Excel
He says he needs to create a spreadsheet to enter ingoings outgoings , so is going to create a template (doesn't mean much to me) is it possible to create linked spreadsheets in this way and carry across grand totals
I assume he is going to have like a year or months entries in one workbook then open a new workbook and carry on but he wants to accumulate the grand totals is this possible?
Sorry if this makes no sense i don't use Excel but just thought i'd post it unless this makes more sense to someone else willing to offer advice thanks!
