Hi
I've registered literally hundreds of domains in the past few years. I set up a company recently and am transferring my online activities to it.
I want to complete the transfer before the end of the Tax year, which as you will know, is just a few days away.
However, I don't know what to do with my domain names. Can someone please advise me.
I would rather not transfer them all to the company name, as it will probably too time-consuming. At the same time, I won't be self-employed next tax year, so it's going to be costly just renewing them all under my own personal name.
Is there a middle ground? Is there a way I can keep them under my personal name, but somehow pay for them through my company?
Would really appreciate any advice - especially from affiliates who have been in a similar position, where they went from being self-employed, to a Ltd company, and an employee of the company.
Any response would be GREATLY appreciated :-)
Kammy

As far as I know, the invoice for domain registrations/renewals doesn't have to be in the name of the registrant.
However, as long as all the domains you own are with the same registrar and in the same registrant name, you can merge them all into one Nominet account. If there are variations in the registrant name (e.g. some are registered to "Full Name" and others are registered to "F. Name") you will need to apply to have these amended to all be the same.
From your Nominet account you can then initiate a transfer to yourself so they get updated into your company name at a cost of £12 for everything (including VAT). If you haven't accessed your Nominet account before then you will find full details on their website.
In total this will all take you just a matter of minutes to do. Hope that helps.
