Hi,
I am just starting work on my first finance-related website. It will be running on wordpress with a view to monetising it at a later date.
My background is in financial services - 12 years as an adviser and 7 years as technical consultant - the website will deal with all issues surrounding financial planning.
Naturally my concerns lie within what I can and CANNOT do on the website.
I already have a Data Protection Licence, but do I need a CCL if I am writing about mortgages and loans but not specifically advising on them from the site?
Would welcome any comments, suggestions, hints and tips.

No, you won't need a CCL. Even if you provide leads on a pay per lead basis, you still won't need one.
It's only if you send leads to a third party who pays you on completion that a CCL is legally required.
Providing advice would need FSA and/or CCL licensing, so avoid it.
For future use, you may find that using the "search" feature on this site will help you to find similar subjects already covered in the past.
