Hi,
I want to build an insurance quote comaprison site such as the likes of gocompare.com and confused.com - does anybody know how they produce the different quotes on their site?
I want to give site visitors the ability to input the required information and then to display the different quotes to them from the different insurance companies.
I have been told that this would have to be done through the insurance provider's API but not sure how to obtain this.
Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks Accelerator.
It seems that this is a 'specialist' area and the insurance companies are scattered through a number of affiliate programs.
Does anybody know of any other affiliate programs as such?
and especially if they have the capability of returning quotes through an API or quoation engine?
I am looking for more than just banners and text links.

I found this:
UniRisX - The on demand global insurance service
From this post:

... and an article about BeatThatQuote.com's white label insurance offering:

The big players (GoCompare, MoneySupermarket etc.) all have a feed from CDL:
CDL (Cheshire Datasystems Ltd)
CDL get prices from a number of insurers and brokers, and give them to you in a feed - but you have to pay to get it (about £20k a year I think, maybe more).
They then hook in feeds from other insurers to make up their full comparison service.
In other words, if you want a proper quote comparison service, you have to be able to do big volumes to justify the initial outlay - so maybe best to go for a white label first.
