Good morning People,
Being fairly green to affiliate networks, can you advise which one is the best for generating quality partnerships, whether selling or buying leads in the following sectors: mortgages, secured loans, IVA/trust deed, etc?
Have you had experience using them? Things to watch out for?
Thanks,
Robert

Thanks for your reply.
I did come across this network and was quite impressed with how it appeared to be set up. However, as a potential buyer, I was wanting to pay good fees on completed business, which this network specifically does not do......
For completed secured loans in May we could pay an additional £100 for every case between £10,000 and £100,000, on top of a good proc fee split.
Any ideas?
thanks,
robert
well every merchant would prefer a backend deal, but every affiliate would prefer CPA.
i think if you want lots of business then CPA is the way to go, unless maybe you can find a big affiliate who is prepared to try backend deals, but I dont know any who would.
good luck.
Backend deals don't work for good lead generators... Affiliates have a cost for lead generation and as a buyer all you will do is reject them and pay as little as possible leaving the affiliate in trouble...
Start paying front end or leave the forum and stick to your existing rubbish non-existent backend deals...
SAY NO to backend! (I think we should start a campaign.)
Dear 123,
You seem to have got out of the bed on the wrong side today. Perhaps A4U is your own site and no-one else is allowed on?
Why would a buyer want to purchase (back end) leads and reject them? Why waste time and effort and make no money. That doesn't make sense.
Also we would set out exactly what we would pay on an initial agreement, so a supplier would know exactly what they would get.
My guess is that you have tried one company and got burnt and hold a grudge. Backend deals obviously don't work for you, so what?
Get well soon,
regards,
Robert
Robert - just to clarify..
We do send leads back end, as we have many that don't fit today's tight criteria for upfront payment and a few affiliates who actually prefer back end.
This said, we have also have excellent, trusted, long term partners who take these leads and convert them very well.
You will find that this is the case with any good, volume lead generator - they will either require an upfront payment per lead or have an existing back end relationship that they won't be keen to jeopardise just to work with an unknown quantity, for example, you.
The fact is that you are unlikely to succeed with your current approach.
Good luck, but don't hold your breath![]()

Hi Robert,
I think that Lethal0r's comment that "every merchant would prefer a backend deal, but every affiliate would prefer CPA" is pretty much true in the vast majority of cases.
The key to establishing a good affiliate programme is therefore to find a model whereby the merchant (in this case you) are getting the volume and quality of business you need, at the right cost, but with commercials that are attractive enough for affiliate partners to work with you. The holy grail perhaps?!
A 'third way' is to work on a cost per validated lead basis, but manage the back-end quality, perhaps by offering incentives based on back-end conversions or other set KPIs.
We have operated with this model extensively and successfully, but the ability to do this relies heavily upon the ability to report on leads to conversions accurately, and also the time and resource it takes to manage and communicate with affiliates effectively.
Hope that gives you some food for thought!![]()

Rich79, that model worked so well that your merchant is now out of business! (Only joking, I know that their funding problems were down to market forces, not Messrs Kuhilow and Telford's astute skills).
However..
We believe that ALL affiliates should get paid the same CPA, and rather than cherry picking affiliates in this way, we take our best converting sites and partners and try to share their best practises amongst all our members, thus increasing earnings for them and conversions for our merchants. That way we can justify a high CPA because it works for all parties concerned.
A tiered CPA is another way of telling your affiliates - "You're not really good enough" and is similar short term thinking to those networks that simply boot out all but the best affiliates.
Business should be win-win - NOT win-win if you're in our top tier.
By the way, did you know that one of the ROEye people is spending his paid time posting jokes on here?? Nice work if you can get it![]()
