    Hello Everyone,
I am building a loan site for the UK market. As I am new to this business I would greatly appreciate any tip.
1)Does any body know If there is some kind of registration required with the UK's consumer finance regulatory body if any one starts a loan affiliate program?
2)Is there a site where I can get the required fields of a form for pay day loans, mortgage, debt consolidation loan, debt management, secured and unsecured loans?
    3)which affiliate programs are good?

Thank you in advance for any tip that you might be able to provide me

Hi, I'm not a loan affiliate but here are my thoughts:
    1) Please clarify - do you mean to start a loan affiliate program yourself or do you intend to add affiliate ads to your site? Depending on what you intend to do, some FSA regulation may apply, especially if you are going to recommend particular products.

    2) Affiliate networks might provide these, finance specialists that spring to mind are OMG and Smartquotes, as listed at:

    UK Affiliate Marketing Networks

    3) OMG, Smartquotes and buy.at have lots of finance affiliate programmes.

Thanks for that! I seem to have missed this thread!!
CPAN are indeed a finance network which started the back end of 2004. We have many different types of finance related products. Most of our programmes have I frames available to integrate into your existing site with form validations as standard.

Our Merchants are mainly pay per lead although a few are on comletion basis.

All epc's and conversion stats are found in the merchant directory to help you decide with programmes would suit your site and traffic and the tech support is second to none as a few affiliates on A4U will testify :tup

Check out our new platform which was launched in March!

    Hi there,

If you are collecting lead data from you own forms and passing onto third party lenders then you may need to possess a Consumer Credit Licence (CCL). A Data Protection Licence may also be required.

Some merchants may insist upon you having possession of either or both so it's recommended that you have these in place just in case.

Also have you considered generating leads for any other type of loan product? For example, we manage the Logbook Loans affiliate programme here at R.O.EYE and are looking for new partners to generate quality leads. In case you are not aware of the product they provide no credit-check, any-purpose cash loans which are secured on the value of applicant's vehicle. The cash can be made available rapidly (usually 24hrs) and is suitable for people who have difficulties obtaining credit elsewhere.

For more information on the company please refer to the affiliate pack.

If you have any questions about the programme please get in touch with me either by PM or 0161 228 1228.

Best of luck with the site!

Yes there are various triggers where you have to display the APR, such as when the advert indicates that credit is available to those who may have difficulties obtaining credit, e.g. reference to credit arrears or CCJs etc.

There are also requirements about the prominence of the APR on the page and even how it should be worded.

If any affiliates would like some assistance on this I have a quick guide that I summarised/abridged from the OFT website.

    Just PM me!

    Hi Rich79,
thanks very much for your tips...
The logbook loans is actually a very good idea. I am actually considering how I can integrate it with my site. My site will be up and running in a few days time. does your program place banner ads on affiliate sites or do you accept collected leads using a form?

    You're welcome!

For Logbook Loans you can either use banner ads, text links or collect the data on your own form and then submit manually to the merchant.

We are also in the process of making some HTML creative available that fully explains the product and is fully linked up with your affiliate tag that could just sit on a page on your site.

To get started you can join the in-house programme on Tracktor by clicking here. Once I see that you have applied I will give you a ring and take you through the programme in a bit more detail.

    Hi Galtcon
Mobile Money Ltd are also a major player in the log book lending industry. We are currently offering £10 per lead through Affiliate Future. We have all the banners and text links already set up on AF and would be delighted to welcome you to join the hundreds of other affiliates we already have on board. Take a look at our website or call me on 01527 68349 to discuss. It would be great to explain further.

    Regards

    Mike
