Hi,
We're looking for a volunteer for a new moderator for the Finance Forums - I think you'd probably agree that our normal great mod team need a little help here!
If you are well versed in the finance and specifically lead gen business and you're interested in helping to clean up this section then please put yourself down for nomination below and we'll run a member vote at the end of it.
How does that sound?
Matthew

I'll start this off guys,
My Background
I have been working within the finance industry for a number of years mainly dealing with Credit Brokers, IFA's, Mortgage networks.
I am no website/Internet expert but have lots of experience within finance, through various roles I have had many in-depth discussion with brokers about lead gen etc
I have held a number of different role's including Business Development manager for well known lender's both prime & Sub-Prime, I have worked for a couple of large Brokers, last but not least I have also been a loan underwiter with mandate.

As much as I, or many others would enjoy moderating such a melting pot of views etc.
The idea that any one person could hold the abilty to restrict posts from competitors is ridiculous.
Michael, you for example, spend such a large portion of your posts offending people and pouring scorn upon anybody that is either new, or doesn't agree with you. You could possibly argue the same in our direction. I would not be voting for you, nor me, but a neutral person who has experience in running an unbiased forum.

here we go!
DING DING round two
This comes from your very own website
www.lead-clearing-house.com
[COLOR="Red"]We do not operate call centres, cashback sites or use intrusive advertising - if we send you a lead the customer has made a genuine online application. If you have been stung by the "hot-key" and other similar worthless rubbish offered by our competitors, you'll know that buying finance leads is NOT all about the price. By all means deal with other cheaper lead acquisition channels, but if you have been struggling to see a return from your lead acquisition efforts to date please apply today using the form on the right side of this page. We CAN help.
So i think it's fair to say as a hot key provider i would be saying "oi NO!"
But if your where to replace such comment with. If you have been stung by the web-generated fodder like ours, which has been passed around every lending/fund provider since the birth of Jesus H Christmas, and are hungry for some more. Then we would be happy to oblige. Or words similar to that effect (i'm not fussed if you would like to move the wording round a little to reduce damage) this in turn would counteract the garbage you place about HK's and HK providers.
As i am sure you wont be doing that or anything similar, i think it's fair to say i (personally) would prefer if you carry on your "school"and birching activities in the privacy of your own website.
I would dread to fear you being in control of us mere mortals on A4U, as we are all in need of schooling!more so after reading through your posts on here you are a finance version of Osama Bin Laden :td
I'll await your followers bigging you up and or crash driving into my call centre soon![]()
Having worked in and around the lead generation industry specifically within the finance sector I think I would be well placed to moderate this forum.
I have recently not been visiting A4u mainly because the finance forum had become so 'noisy' and although the sub forum is a good idea a lot of posters have ignored the rules.
I was a founder of Leadbay although I no longer work for them and have worked for a short period at Money3xpert. I now spend half of my time working on an SEO project and half of my time working as a consultant for companies interested in understanding lead generation.
You can see from my post count that I have been very active in the past and I have been very involved with A4U having chaired a lead gen debate at a4u Expo and written Leadbay's entry for the a4u awards.
I have experience with complaince issues having worked closely with experts to ensure various sytems meet FSA and DPA standards.
I am Bristol based which mean Matt or anyone on the A4U team can come and give me an earbashing in person if i get it wrong. I have experience in moderating forums and run my own 1000 user message board (in a completely unrelated topic). Finally I have no battles to win or axes to grind and apart from the odd heated debate with Michael Anthony have never created or incited any real bad feelings on the board.
If you think I would be suited (or not) to the job then please let me know either by PM or in the thread.

Simon,
As neither an enemy, or a fan of Oxevas (that I know of), you get my vote.
Your experience both sector based an forum based seems ideal.

DB - Projects.
Thank you all for volunteering.
To counter any concerns, the one moderator would not have sole power he'll be backed up by the usual mod team and myself.
If there are no late entries I'll se up a poll this afternoon which will run until Friday.
Thanks,
Matthew
