First of all apologies for being a bit quiet since being voted as finance forum moderator. After some discussion with Matt last year we decided that the best thing would be to separate Lead Generation into it's own forum on it's own website so that is what we have been working on. Lead Generation has exploded over the past few years and is a distinct marketing method.

We hope to be in a position to launch shortly at a4uleads.com but in the meantime if you have any comments about what you think should or should not be in a lead generation forum then please post it here. I am also looking for guest bloggers and any interesting lead generation articles for the new site. Just PM me if you can help.

All this will leave the current a4u finance forum free from lead generation posts which will be strictly moderated.

That doesn't make any sense to me - why not, by the same reasoning, do the same with travel, gambling etc? SEO and PPC are also "distinct marketing methods", but there's no suggestion that these two will be separated out in the same way.

There is no logic in fragmenting something that forms an integral part of affiliate marketing off into it's own site and forum on the basis that it has "exploded". Surely anything that shows so much growth, by virtue of that very fact, has earnt it's right to stay as part of the main a4u site.

One of the attractions of this site is that it encompasses all of the current and future methods and trends in affiliate marketing, so that newbies and experienced affiliates alike can use it as a one stop resource to keep up with what's going on in our industry. Chopping pieces out into their own areas would destroy that and make it far more difficult for members to use.

I'd be very interested in a poll to see what current members make of this ill-conceived proposal.

Hello Simon, Is the website up and running yet?
Is, or wil,l this be the best place to look for finance leads? Should we be looking at other places on A4U?
    thanks,
    Robert

Just took a quick look at the new site and I like the idea of approving sellers and buyers of leads. Good job guys.

Would it not make sense to transfer the userbase from this forum over to save us all having to register again?

There are distinct needs that are required within the premium lead generation sector that we can't address on affiliates4u.com and I hope we have addressed these with the new site which will officially launch on Monday.

We wanted to include a verification process where we do basic checks on members and also give the community a solid platform for feedback which we can now do with the iTrader system.

    That sounds great.

I really like the idea of the feedback system.

Can you also implement an escrow service?

I am fed up with being ripped off.

    Thanks

Just wanted to say how dreadfully this has worked out nearly two years on. a4uleads is a fantastic place to visit if you're interested in French, Russian or Croatian spam about products and services completely unrelated to lead gen, or if you'd like to trade some data or sms broadcasting with an unknown anonymous individual with a hotmail account and nothing else.

If we're being fair here, I've described EVERY forum

By the way, since posting my comments above, SimonB has implemented a user verification system, added a script to prevent auto-posting, and banned hotmail/gmail accounts from a4uleads, so I can only say how delighted I am to see that someone is actually paying attention to our moaning and taking action. Nice one Simon!

The idea of running different website for lead generation is really good. Yes of course lead generation concept has grown widely. And whatever we do like SEO, Online marketing, Social networking ultimately help us in generating leads. Go for it.

Wouldn't bother trying to register on A4u leads to be honest. Application will be denied as "does not meet requirements". I've emailed Simon five times for a list of the "requirements" as cannot see them anywhere on the site. Anyway, five emails, two weeks later, no reply whatsoever. Don't bother, will have to stick to advertising leads and related services here.

I agree with you one of my friend tried to register on A4u leads but got the mail that your information doesn't meet the requirements. He also did the same thing send them a revert mail asking about the requirements that is to be met for registration but haven't got any reply yet.
