Any form of financial advertising requires a CCL and websites are not excluded from this.
Anyone got any ideas about this as the OFT are proving hard to speak to and their email support is non-responsive too.
I have an old 'loans' website which used to have an application form and I've replaced it with Adsense. However, Trading Standards got in touch with me and 'asked' me whether I needed a CCL to run Adsense ads on the site. They genuinely had no idea if a CCL was required and I must admit I assumed a CCL wasn't required but they are insistent on getting OFT clearance/clarification on this.
Has anyone had any dealings with OFT before and/or do you have a reliable contact who I can call (or email) so I can get a quick answer. (Or maybe offer any advice on whether a CCL is required if I'm running Adsense.)
Thanks

Many thanks for the clarification Steve62.
For the record, I finally got a reply from the OFT and their reply was not very helpful i.e. they would not give a ruling on whether a CCL is needed or not. They just said that if I could not get my answer from their documents I should seek legal/professional help to help clarify whether I needed a CCL or not.
