cool, i have that program!
I have 22 websites which each get above a 100,000 hits each every month - all focussing on prepaid products and I have been looking to set up a few for prepaid cards only.
I have seen the firm APS are offering a much higher bounty than the other prepaid providers - why would I want to promote your product over theirs?
I would appreciate if you could come back to me with a reply![]()
Hi,
I've asked the guys at Splash Plastic to post up later today explaining why their product should be the one to choose...if it comes from the me at the network it just sounds like a sales pitch![]()
But I thought you might be interested in the program stats as, after all, they do count for something![]()
The Splash plastic program in Webgains is growing at about 40% month on month with a 30% average clickthru on the creatives and the conversion rate going up as high as 25% click to application.
From the applications we have had thus far, we have seen that most applications come through late afternoon and evening.
Hope this helps. The guys at Splash should be able to give you a bit more info on the differences between themselves and their competitors. But if you have any questions, please feel free to give me a shout.

Hi,
Thanks for having a look at the Splash Plastic Prepaid Card Programme.
The simple answer to your question is that Splash Plastic is a different proposition with regards to the pricing structure as Splash is a genuine Pay As You Go product as opposed to other providers where the main mechanism is a fixed fee basis and our 7 years of UK specific prepaid experience tells us that PAYG is what appeals to the prepaid audience. Hence, in the long term you are likely to earn more for the prime space that you offer.
If you need some more reasons beyond the obvious, read on….
Over the last 7 years we have constantly learnt from the market, listened to our consumers and reacted based on their feedback and hence, Splash is firmly established as a Pay As You Go prepaid card whereas other providers are focussing on Monthly management fees and fixed fee programmes.
With Splash, this means that fees apply only when you use the card and you do not get penalised for not using your card. Furthermore, we have introduced a couple of initiatives whereby you get rewarded for being a Splash Plastic user which add to the overall benefits of the prepaid proposition, so it is no longer just a need based product but also one that smart shoppers can aspire to....
Essentially, the Splash Plastic prepaid card represents a lifestyle choice as much as it benefits those with a need for prepaid.
One final point, prepaid means consumers put their money on the card - this is key; it is their money and not credit - this means choosing a trusted prepaid card provider is absolutely essential and that is where Splash Plastic really does stand out from all other providers; Splash Plastic is a Trademark of PrePay Technologies and PrePay Technologies is backed by GE Capital and VocaLink amongst others.
PrePay Technologies is also the firm behind the Virgin Money, Quidity Mirror, Virgin Money, Habib Bank AG Zurich, Mirror Group Newspapers, Rugby Football Union (RFU), Debenhams, Ticketmaster, Comet, Clydesdale Bank, Yorkshire Bank, the Arcadia Group (Topshop, Topman, Burton, Miss Selfridge, Outfit, Evans, Dorothy Perkins, Wallis), Capital Incentives (ACCOR), Laura Ashley, Family Fund, Western Union, LOVEFiLM and Gift Days Out prepaid cards.
So in essence, you know you have a well established stable partner that has been around for 7 years working with the UK's largest brands; one that has been working with its customers for the last 7 years defining and refining the needs of the prepaid industry in the UK and from your perspective, one that is likely to keep your customers altogether happier.
All the best with your prepaid ventures and we hope to see you on board as a Splash Plastic affiliate soon.
You can sign up at Webgains and you will be well taken care of by the Webgains Splash Plastic Team.

Hi Amid,
Thank you for replying to my question. I was expecting some vague answer and appreciate the direct response (followed by the long winding bits of course)
I know quite a bit about prepaid and have been in the industry for over 10 years and agree with you on pay as you go being the model solution for prepaid card users which is why I was asking some of your competitors regarding pay as you go also.
The £4.00 CPA is much better than the initial £2.00 that you were offering as it gives me room to promote using SEO, PPC and a few other clever online strategies. I hope your current promotion is successful and you will maintain the £4.00 for your best affiliates.
Anyway, I have well established online and offline channels and have only started looking at promoting Prepaid Debit Cards both offline and Online.
I hope to have 6 new sites (one dedicated to each category mentioned on your sign up page) up and ready by the end of November in readiness for the big push around Christmas and will sign up for the Webgains programme prior to that.
I hope to see you and Andrew at the coming A4U Affiliate Expo if you are around.
Regards![]()
