Our own volumes and CPA's have remained unchanged - it appears to be impacting the 2nd and 3rd tier players more. IVA and Debt Management volumes are also increasing, so overall I would say that things have never looked better.

To be fair if you're a small /low volume lead generator (and by low I mean low 1,000’s a month) I'd give up on your business model now - the market has been consolidating for some time anyway (excuse the pun) and the so called "crunch" has just amplified that.

At the end of the day the lenders/big brokers know that the market fluctuates and may take this opportunity to consolidate their suppliers but they're never going to risk loosing sources from which they're receiving 1,000's of decent leads a month (and their competition getting those leads) because when the market swings back again they'll be back in the pink (and don't shed a tear for them in the mean time - they'll still be doing very well thanks).

My advice, for what it’s worth - get yourself signed up to a big player like AMS or similar and let them worry about maintaining all the relationships with the merchants and you just focus on what you're good at (or should be) i.e. generating decent leads. You'll be far better of in the short, medium and probably long term!

Steve Jennings...I completely disagree. I am one of these "measely" Small little affiliates "only" producing 1200 leads per month. Credit crunch?? What credit crunch. If there has been any crunch at all I haven't felt it in the least (volumes and roi has not dropped in many months). I'll take my 150% roi and be happy with it. If this is the worst it is, then I'll be doing great this time next year...and the year after!

From a personal affiliate point of view.
    Gotta agree here with Wahideas.
My numbers are still growing and growing and although December is not the strongest month in this industry and I am seeing small signs of this, it is still currently stronger than ever.

Can't wait for a great 2008. Jan-April will be amazing for quantity and as soon as the public see the size of the credit card bills after xmas the urgency to get into an arrangement will improve too...

    Only good times ahead
