I am an affiliate who is planning to move into the finance industry and have been researching various companies to promote (loans, credit cards, mortgages, iva)

Presently I am signed up with Affiliate Future, Affiliate Window, Tradedoubler and Buyat and have found a number of potential companies I would consider promoting. Can you guys give me some advice on which companies on these networks NOT to promote? I read on this forum somewhere that Shakespeare Finance is a no no - can someone confirm why this is?

Any recommendations on other companies I should consider?

On a slightly different matter - is it actually worth me asking for recommendations on this forum as I may be considered the competition (well, potentially)...

    Cheers
    Henry

my god i'm suprised Mr Anthony wasnt the first to post

Always worth asking for help and advice here...its the best and only community for affiliate marketing in the UK worth being involved with

So you have Smart-Quotes, Buy.at, OMG, Tradedoubler are all pretty good for finance. You should have affiliate accounts with all networks really....Do your research on this forum, the horror stories usually end up here

There are plenty of other networks and programs available.....build your sites & traffic volumes and any network worth their salt will be onto you with a few of my favorite words "help us to help you"

e-Financial Affiliates have some very good finance programs.

EDIT: By the way, I would avoid Shakespeare if you are looking for genuine pay per lead programs.

"my god i'm suprised Mr Anthony wasnt the first to post "

I'm in San Francisco on vacation at the moment, so I missed it. And there are plenty of threads that already answer the question, for anyone that can be bothered to search.

I like that I'm being called "Mr." these days though

    I would avoid:

    Companies Buying:
Post Net (many web site names) they charge fees and it will come back and bite you.
Yes Loans. As above. Charging a non-refundable fee to people in real need of a loan stinks.
Kensington Finance (in Manchester) they never pay.
Central Trust. Payments as rare as hen's teeth.
    Loan Line. As above.
Any Debt Management Company (Any lead buyer based in Manchester). Never sell them loan leads. They reject them all and try and flog your applicant a debt programme. You will get a knock on the door from the OFT. I did and it hurts.

    Companies Selling:
Shakespeare / Vangelz. Indian Call Centre. Multi selling leads you get from them.
    Moksha. Ditto.
    Pervasive. Ditto.
CCC Financial. Based in Northern Ireland. Ditto.

Have to reiterate Blue Fin's question - I have worked with Central Trust for years and have never had a problem with payment - what has been your issue there ?

    Hi,

I too have a close business relationship with Central Trust & have found them to be extremely trust worthy.

I was until a few months ago passing my debt Management leads to Kensington Financial. Due to an upaid invoice I went back into the Debt Management set-up and manage them with my team of ex CCCS advisors in Leeds.

We pay £600.00 per IVA when seen by an advisor (not at the meeting of creditors)

We pay £75.00 per converted Debt management Plan (paid within 28 days)

We pay £500.00 per converted Mortgage

For Sub prime or secured loans talk to somebody like Total Mortgage Solutions on this one. they are based in Bradford.

I have been in the industry for 9 years having run my own DMC, been the BDM of a large IP and Operations Director or another large DMC.

You will not find a harder working team of advisors. We want your long term business!

If you want more information, e-mail me
