I think to make that sort of statement, you really have to back it up and make a full accusation at whoever you are refering to or retract it. I am not agreeing or disagreeing with what you say, just it is a very serious and strong accusation that can't really be ignored.

As far as I can tell from his original post and my response, he may well be a 28 year old man born and bred in the UK with a very poor grasp of his own language. Where exactly do you infer that the exchange has anything to do with race??

How very silly and petty this has become.

Firstly, I am sorry if this 'Cowboys and Indians' comment offended. I did explain this to Ashish/John off list.

If you recall the early days of marketing (yes prior to the internet) there was a famous advert - deemed acceptable, which played on the cowboys of the 'dodgy' driveway resurfacing industry and a company of Indians that used the phrase 'you've tried the cowboys now try the indians' - an advert driven by humour, and arguably so effective that people remember it today.

The second part of my comment 'thank you come again' is a well coined phrase from the most popular 'soap' in the world. So I ask you, has irony and humour being extracted from any form off informal conversation, just to occupy the ridiculous demands of the minority? Don't you have anythign better to do than to pick holes in peoples remarks from behind a keyboard - how cowardly.

I made my remarks, not off the cuff or without research like some, but based upon expensive testing of the company that opened this topic. Where quality and service was indeed far below an acceptable standard both for myself and the clients that I represent.

I know my remarks were not offensive, I've checked with my brothers wife... who is... Indian.

By all means comment further, but for a direct and personal response, email me direct - pick up the phone - or even pop round to our offices. People have far to high an opinion of themselves from behind their keyboard.

To many people are happy to jump on that type of band WAGON and play the all to politically correct mantras concerning race.

I am glad that you have defended your position, although you should have had no need to.

Lets hope that this type of negative infectious stupidity, accrued from supposed inflections of narrative are not allowed to creep into and corrode the forums.

I am aware that human beings have always searched for the meaning of life and to date over the thousands of years that the same question has been asked, there is still no answer.

There are 26 letters in the alphabet of those we have 5 vowels and 21 consonants. How can we ever hope to string the sounds that we put together called language and through that explain the Cosmos created by that obvious higher power..... ?

My point: We just wont get it, not when comments like those made by Rob and others are construed as racist wordplay or offensive, then we yet again take one step backwards.
