Hi,

i'm relatively new to affiliate marketing etc, and was wondering whether anyone would be prepared to pay for asset finance leads e.g. for businesses who are looking to finance plant/machinery, cars, vans etc. If so could you please provide info on what details you would need and how much you are prepared to pay for these.

Hi there I have just joined today, I currently run a finance brokerage placing asset finance for a number of customer the length and breadth of the country, I would be interested in paying for leads, but we would need to come up with a suitable scale for payment.

Would I pay per lead, and if so how qualified would these be, or would I pay per lead regardless of qualification, or would I pay a nominal sum followed by a top up if a deal came to fruition, followed by a continued drip for all business done with an introduced client.

No I have been involved in asset finance since 1984, I have set three asset finance companies on behalf of various banks, and have decided to go out on my own as a broker, but being a one man band the more activity you can create the better, hence my interest in your question.

Hi there

The way it works is fairly simple, any introducers whom pass asset finance leads which come to fruition get 50% of my commission. So for example if I get passed a client whom is buying a commercial vehicle for his business and the deal is to finance £200,000 over 5 years on an hire purchase, I would expect to earn about £1,500 - £2,000 on finance commission which would be split with the introducer. The finance that I can provide is across the board catering for businesses buying all kinds of capital equipment from office equipment to cars/vans/trucks material handling equipment to name but a few.I can also cater for private individuals buying cars but this is not my main business.

On the subject of commercial leads at the moment I do not as I have no where to place them.

Ok, Thanks for that, what would be the average order value for an asset finance case, i am trying to work out if it is financially viable to try to obtain these type of leads.

Hi Tim Brown here, the deal sizes as you can imagine do vary from the very small £5,000 upto £500,000, some over £1,000,000, however, I would think that the average deal size would be around the £25,000 mark, typical earning for this size of deal would be £750 in total, obviously this would need to be split some way.

That said I have some introducers whom are passing two deals a week of this size, I normally split the earnings 50/50 so they are turning £3,000 per month on average. I have just done a deal for a client on a large commercial vehicle on a sale and lease back costing £195,000 the earnings were £4,750. So there is some nice money to be earned for shuffling paper around your desk.
