Validation Criteria

Both tenants and homeowners can apply through one simple online application form. Applicants must be UK residents, over 18 and in some form of employment. As long as the applicant meets these basic criteria, the application will be deemed valid and the commission will be paid. Unfortunately we cannot pay for duplicated leads received within 3 weeks of the original application and all required fields on the application form must be completed.

PPC Policy

Affiliates are welcome to bid on the term ‘Individual Finance’ and its misspellings and derivatives, and are permitted to use the Individual Finance URL in their PPC adverts.
To compliment our existing PPC campaign, affiliates are requested to ensure that their ads display below those of Individual Finance’s existing PPC campaigns. Affiliates are requested not to bid on the term ‘Advantage Loans’ or misspellings and derivatives of this term.

Incentive Sites

As Individual Finance will pay a commission on all completed leads referred by affiliates, it is important to ensure that only applications from individuals genuinely interested in receiving a loan from Individual Finance are referred. Therefore, we ask that affiliates refrain from sending incentivised traffic to the programme, for example, from cashback or reward affiliates. They are fee charging brokers, with more adverse comments against them than YES LOANS. See below for forum comments.

This is another example of a Network not doing their home work and bringing a Scam to affiliates. Affiliate Window shame on you.

As an independent broker, Individual Finance charges a flat one-off fee for their service; this is necessary as they do not accept commission from lenders for recommending their loans. This ensures applicants are found the most suitable loan for their needs – not one that benefits the broker.

Individual Finance deal with over 15,000 new applications every week – in the unlikely eventuality that customers are dissatisfied with the service they receive, Individual Finance have strict compliance and complaint handling procedures in place.

Individual Finance have chosen to promote their services through Affiliate Window in order to reach a wider audience. This is a fantastic opportunity for affiliates to earn high volumes of commission, and we are open and honest with affiliates regarding the terms and conditions of the campaign, including the validation criteria.

Opinions regarding loan brokers and certain affiliate schemes have been discussed in length elsewhere, so we do not propose to repeat these arguments. Our focus here is very much on helping affiliates to promote the programme. If any of these issues are getting in the way of their campaigns we will, of course, help to address them with the affiliate directly.

At no point did I say that Individual Finance, Advantage loans, Tenant loans whatever they call themselves today, were out to “scam” affiliates. I said that they were scamming applicants. Your comment Owen of “the unlikely eventuality that customers are dissatisfied with the service they receive” is priceless. How can the most complained about company in the county (reported by Trading Standards Nov 2006) use the word unlikely and not grow a nose as long as the M1.

If Affiliate Window and other networks do not do their homework, before signing up reported scammers, Affiliate Marketing will be tarred with the same brush as these fee charging unsecured brokers. Again, shame on you!

One last comment while I am having a rant, the only way Individual Finance, Advantage loans, Tenant loans, can legally charge a broker fee is to include this amount in the, "total amount of credit" written on the loan agreement, so please don’t start quoting the £5 rule as it is irrelevant.
