How do I apply for a Data Protection License in UK? I would be generating Mortgage leads for brokers through my website and have been told that I would require a Data Protection License for conducting my business.

Hi,

It's not a licence as such, you need to register as a "controller" with the Information Commissioner to get yourself added to the register of data controllers.

You need to declare what information you'll hold and for what purposes and you can read about your obligations on the site. The register is publicly searchable. There's a fairly low annual fee for registering.
