Hi,

Out of interest, Who do you currently host with?

I'm looking at changing hosts due to issues with speed etc. (Currently using FastHosts - I know shocking!)

1&1 - things don't go wrong too often, but when they do they are an absolute nightmare. Their customer service is disgraceful.

I would move providers but nothing has gone wrong for a while and it would be a major hassle to find and move to someone else who could be worse!

I hear GoDaddy are pretty good.

I`ve got a VPS with a company in New Zealand, although the server is in the US.

Very cheap compared to UK prices for higher specs than you get over here. The service is absolutely fantastic, truly 24 hours as they have people doing support in every time zone.

I only use .uk domains so go no problem with the location of the server.

I use vidahost.com / .co.uk had no problems with them at all really and they always answer you back quickly - sharedhosting.

Make sure you host in UK. You can't put a price on a quick/reliable hosting company.

I have a reseller account with heartinternet and find them to be excellent. I've had very few problems and whenever I've raised a ticket I've literally had a response in minutes!

Ditto that. Good value, downtime is very rare and sorted very quickly, tickets answered quickly, pleased so far.

Use rshosting.co.uk for reseller accounts. Also used solarhost.co.uk for a green site and ukwebsolutionsdirect.co.uk for a cheapo to kickstart things off.

I use dreamhost.com. They offer unlimited domains on a shared server. Good value and I have not had many problems / downtime with them.

Media Temple are nothing short of brilliant if you can deal with not having a UK based hosting company. Customer services is exellent and the interface is really nice to use

Slicehost is by far the best host. Gives you full control of the server. You have to be server savvy though.
