First Plus are now gone im afraid and finding a secured lending company such as First Plus is going to become very hard.

I think that Fair & Square are still going but not sure how long they will last out for.

There are still a few secured lenders out there.

In fact not so sad to see Firstplus go, they held the market back artificially eeping the interest low.

Maybe if we can start getting a profit margin back in the business we might get more money coming into circulation.

Thanks. I had a page that got a reasonable amount of traffic and had been using First Plus affiliate links.

Any thoughts on which other merchant to send this traffic to, and of course which network they're on?

Also depends on the banking system obtaining the funding for secured loans in the future. It will happen but it will probably be to a lesser extent to whats been going on in the last few years. That level of lending and debt could never have been sustained for a great length of time and it also allowed certain members of society to obtain loans they should really have never been allowed to. Its all ended now though!

Its going to be a tight year or two ahead before things even out. Best get used to Tesco Value Cornflakes :drool

Forget AMS... Thing of the past... lol..

We are still paying as high as £85 per lead.

Check out : 123 DS Fee Structure

    Any questions please ask.

The difference between AMS (The Affiliate Marketing School - Home) and 123ds is as follows, according to a recent affiliate poll..

AMS buy ALL secured loan leads, not just those fitting into a tight criteria. We pass those leads directly to merchants. Our average rejection rate is 3%, meaning that we pay for 97% of the leads we receive.

123ds only buy secured loan leads that fit into a very tight criteria. They then work those leads through their own call centre and sell them on as "packaged deals", at around 3 times the price they pay for them, despite claiming to be a regular affiliate network. Any leads which they cannot package, they reject. Their average rejection rate is between 40 and 60%, meaning that if you are lucky you will be paid for half of the leads that you send them.

And Lee, given the choice of spending 8 weeks relaxing around the med, as I am now, or working my nads off running a call centre as you do, I'd rather be a thing of the past any day. lol indeed "mate".

Ohh michael, it's so so good to see you back on the forum.

I for one miss your posts

The med does sound nice, but then I know after 8 weeks of doing nothing I would be chomping at the bit to get back to work.

I don't know who has given you this information cos it is factually incorrect... If we stay on the topic of secured loan leads, our rejection rate across the board is 27.6%.

The rejection rate varies from introducer to introducer due to a number of reasons but I can tell you that 68% of rejected leads are for duplication reasons. (I notice you don't divulge this reason yet I know the merchants you use and therefore I would bet your duplication is about the same.)
For reference our only other reasons for rejection are :
Client is actually a tenant. (7%)
    No valid number (12%)
    Commercial app (2%)
    Shared ownership (0%)
    hoax lead (11%)

All stats taken from July 08.

With reference to strict criteria, granted our criteria is tighter than AMS but the merchants dictate and more importantly the market dictates.
I would also say that the pay per lead reflects the criteria specified by the merchants.

In short the main difference between AMS and 123 is that AMS is a stagnant business owned and controlled by a man more interested in holidaying in the med as opposed to 123 : A UK based network growing stronger and stronger every day to provide a platform for both affiliates and merchants to enjoy for many years to come in what is a very difficult and volatile market.

FYI our system automatically identifies duplicates to prevent them from getting into our database. Leaves me with more time to holiday in the med that way

Problem with 123ds is that not only they have very strict criteria for leads; there is also a minimum requirement from the affiliates (50 leads minimum). To be honest, thats the one thing that put me off from signing up with 123ds. Since for any novice affiliate who is trying to break into the scene this is quite a challenge. 50+ leads a month is actually for those that have good experience I would’ve thought.

AMS on the other hand, don’t have such criteria. Which is good, gives those who are just starting up a chance to learn. You can’t only think about getting the best of both worlds. Strict merchants and superior affiliates. I guess, without any statistics, maths or factual figures this alone would drive away affiliates and thus merchants and perhaps increase rejection in order to keep the merchants happy!!!

    Hmmm....

    Lee,

you are so wrong about AMS ....

    last month i earned £3655
    this month £2300
and this month should generate around £2500 again ....
and all the months before that high end of £1500 - £2000

this is with very little work ...

i sent secured loans yoru way ( all of which were auto submit ) and got rejected and so did a number of my iva / dm leads all submitted via the "no rejection auto submit" route

ive worked with both you and AMS
and i must say thanks to AMS i have been able to tell my boss to stick it and im earning a very nice income which is only increasing each month

i recommend AMS to anyone who wants to get paid for EVERY genuine lead

lee .. no rejection really should mean no rejection ....not "no rejection apart from standard reasons"

another thing that annoyed me a bit about 123 is the fact the leads show as accepted and then 1 2 or even 3 days later get rejected

as for the quote about AMS being ran by someoen who would rather spend 8 weeks holidaying than running a business..
well that s teh sign of a successful business that doesnt require people sloggin their guts out over it or sitting in front of teh pc 9 - 5 , 7 days a week wondering how much longer the business will keep going

8 weeks in the med sounds pretty good to me, work hard but play harder!
