Best Insurance Affiliates?

Hi,

Our company owns a large portfolio of quality uk insurance domains. We have started developing them and are applying for affiliate partnerships. We are a little unsure as to who is best for car insurance, home insurance, van insurance, liability insurance etc. Our portfolio covers almost every area of insurance (my wife and I used to be insurance brokers). We had a bad experience with a loan company a while back (with secured loan leads) and wondered if anyone could steer us to the most reliable and best paying insurance companies or affiliate networks. Any feedback would be most appreciated. Thanks for your time

Hi Nigel,

If I understand it correctly are you looking to become an affiliate and join insurance programmes through networks?

There are many insurance programmes around as you can imagine and almost any network will have a fair selection to choose from, but I would say that OMG and Buy.at probably have the most insurance/finance related programmes from my experience. Some pay out a flat rate commission but most will pay out a percentage of the policy value so it's worth considering the likely cost of the premium itself to see which pay out the best.

I work for an affiliate management agency and we run affiliate programmes on behalf of merchants. We are network neutral which means that the programmes we manage are available through any of the open networks or even in-house depending on the merchant's requirements.

In terms of insurance companies we are managing Weddingplan wedding insurance and Simple Travel Insurance on behalf of a company called TPS, policies underwritten by Axa. Both have excellent consumer offerings; Simple Travel was featured in a Which? best-buy table and Weddingplan have just re-launched their site with new market leading pricing. Commissions are 12% of the policy value for both products.

Thanks for the reply - sorry I didn't word my initial post correctly. Yes we're looking to become affiliates for a range of insurance products using our portfolio of insurance domains. Weddings are one area we don't have a domain but we do have quite a few holiday and travel insurance domains so I'll bear you in mind for those when we come to develop them. Thanks for your info about OMG and buy.at. If anyone else has got any views on the best affiliate partnerships I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Nigel,

The Gocompare affiliate programme is definately worth checking out. We pay on a quote basis, so any quote completed that is tracked to the programme will generate commission. The programme currently features Car, Home, Van and Bike insurance.

We've made significant investment in TV advertising recently (you've probably noticed!) which is reaping rewards in terms of brand awareness, which is filtering through to results we're seeing on the programme.

Our network partner is OMG - I strongly recommend looking us up on their network if you can. I see Arron has responded - if you haven't already get in touch!

Just been tidying up my PM inbox and I noticed that Mr. Habile had sent me the same message (identical to the post above) every two weeks for the last 6 months or so. Interestingly, if you take a quick read through his 40 post history you'll find that most of them are also identical to the post above. The only ones that aren't are the ones where he offers to buy life insurance leads for between £18 and £20 each, no doubt believing that "telemarketing" involves trying to trade leads from him bedroom until his mum tells him to go to bed.

At that point I looked for some sort of "report as spam" button, but couldn't find it, hence this ranting post of my own.

By the way, we are NOT a call centre in India and will buy life insurance leads for £27 each provided that they are 100% web generated.
