Ok I think to qualify you must have a loan or credit card etc thats governed by the consumer credit act 1974 but the start of the agreement is pre 6th April 2007

Basically most of these specialist claims solicitors etc look for:

    - unfair terms and conditions relating to the underwriting of the debt
    - misleading/unclear APR rates
    - incorrect or misleading information regarding payments
    - any other key factual info that might be missing from the agreement

So its a case of them analysing the agrrement to find the holes they can use to get the Agreement ruled invalid and therefore debt is wiped and they take a % of the fee thats been wiped from you (their fee)

Pass.....I've looked briefly at a few people offering back end deals and CPL programs but I have a major bug bear with them as everyone i've spoken to wants users to pay for the agreement evaluation and to me that sucks .

if there is anyone paying a flat CPL for these leads then I'd look more interested.

Can understand your point there totally and we are trying to negotiate with our Solicitors to have the evaluation of the contract for free.
There are some issues with this though.

We do not not use an automated system to check contracts. My understanding(open to correction) is that these systems check the actual maths of the contract. They are unable to check contracts with PPI.As there are other reasons a contract maybe unenforceable( cancellation rights, where the signature is etc) then the contract needs to be physically looked at before a certain decision can be reached.
We have barristers looking at each contract and they do make a charge for this.As the cases can take 7-9 months maybe longer or shorter to complete the Solcitors do have other overheads to pay,so feel it right to charge a fee.

Secondly,if it was free, then clients could hand over anywhere between 6-10 or even more contracts just to get an answer whether there was a claim. They then may only proceed with 1 or 2 which has cost to evaluate and could start creating a backlog of cases just for checking when really no intention of following through with all of them.

If we do agree anything with the Solicitor, will get in touch.
