Lead generation - What Criteria is required ?

We are generating leads through our motortrade based websites that we do not do anything with at the moment and i am sure that these enquiries are marketable but what criteria would be needed for you ?
It would be useful to know as we are expanding our web presence at the moment and if there is something that needs adding to our enquiry forms then it could be that we could consider it as long as it does not spook the customer .

Hi Carboy,

Most programmes that accept lead generation are finance related and from my experience you would probably need to provide the following information as a minimum:-

• Contact details inc; name, full address, email, mobile, landline
• Personal details inc; gender, D.O.B., marital status
• Employment details; full/part time, income levels
• Direct debit facility?

Depending on the merchant/product you may need to request additional info to the above, or possibly qualifying questions like "I have had difficulty in obtaining credit in the past" to filter good/bad credit applicants.

You will need to strike a balance between obtaining enough information without making the form too long.

I also recommend working closely with the merchant or affiliate manager to help optimise your forms as this will ensure that you are sending them the best quality leads possible.
