No idea but trading rupees sounds fun! Do you get 20 rupees if you pick up a maroon coloured emerald?...

    Hi,

I transfer money to india all the time via western union and the exchange has been steady for last couple of years. The rupee pretty much stays the same. I dont think it fluctuates enough to make any real money at it.

Correct me if i'm wrong someone but I think unless you've got thousands and thousands to spend the rupee wont really be worth it.

You can expect a small commission for a client registration ie $ 2 to $10. You're right, the real profit comes in when there is in excess of $5000 to be transferred, when it is possible to make 0,5% in commission on fees.

Whilst my broker looks after most currencies, they can't cater for our Indian leads, so I'm looking for ideas what to do with them that might generate income.

hi there, I know from experience that it is next to impossible to get rupees trades done via most brokers due to illiquidity and the captial flight issues out of india. why dont you try one of the big boys in india eg Reliance? also ,when i had questions on all this indian, i would post them to http://www.k****ij.com - they always helped - i dont work for them!

are you look to speculate/prop trade or simply make physical conversions?how do you intend to get around the capital flight issues?credit cards?
