Click Them and they Might Come

How about Disney related stuff..
disneyholiday/org/uk
disneyholidays/org/uk
disneycruise/org/uk
disneycruises/org/uk
disneypasses/org/uk
disneytoys/org/uk
disneygifts/org/uk
disneycharacters/org/uk
disneyfilms/org/uk
disneymovies/org/uk
and so on....
Not done any google keyword checking on these, but should imagine they would make good converting domains if they rank well enough... they all have people bidding on the keywords which must be a good sign.

yeah page 1 with 0 backlinks isnt bad (except the one on this forum) gonna get around 10-15 and see if it reaches number 1.
I'm a bit sceptical weather it will make money though, the volume isn't bad but no idea if it will still be there when it reaches the top.
Before you go getting excited about all these keyword numbers, I suggest at least a 10 point checklist. eg.
No. 1: IF x people buy whatever it is a month and it takes me y time to do the site, is it worthwhile ? For that you'll need:
No. 2: HOW MANY clicks does one person take before buying ?
So, 1000 searches could end up as 2 purchases or 20 purchases depending on the nature of the product and the how specific the search is.
So, take "wrap around sunglasses" as an example (not a criticism)
Out of 10, how close is that searcher to buying ?
I would say 1/10 max.
imo you've got to get that checklist, order it in terms of what questions are most important and then put the ideas through the mill.
Or just go read affi's threads from a month or so ago - you might not like them, but there's a lot of hard-headed realism in there.
Don't treat your organic search results as free - they're not - you spent time on them.
So value your time and avoid the vague search phrases - there's plenty of specifics to go at.
My ten penneth anyway.
If you're going to go for one where its a non specific buying search then at least get a bit of volume:
leaningtowerofpisa org uk
A proportion of the 14800 exacts must be looking to visit it.
Hint: there's somewhere near it where folks might fly to and stay.
how much do you speculate when buying domains?
for example, google announced recently that it is launching a new operating system designed for netbooks and smartbooks.
So 'netbook' got 165,000 exact UK searches last month and 'netbooks' got 40,000.
as smartbooks are new (and not guaranteed to be a hit), a lot of the domains are still available
i've speculated a little and bought a few smartbook related domains, but how do you know when to stop. I could spend a fortune, but equally know that if I sold just one domain for a few hundred quid in a years time, that would pay for loads now!
where do you stop!!
