Not seen any evidence of this. It doesn't really make much sense tbh?
Only a hunch, but our dot org uk sites are not doing nearly as well as the dot co uk sites over the last few months, having been OK previously.
Same sort of content levels, very similar structure.
I wonder if G has done an audit and discovered lots of poor quality datafeed driven dot org uk sites ?
So now you've got to build the credibility more than a dot uk ?

I see no evidence of this. In fact, I would go so far as to say it looks like a dot anything slap for anyone who is not a large established corporation.
Yes, just when you thought the internet had provided a levelish playing field to allow new original publishers to get some of the ad. revenue that used to belong to the established media. Nice for some of them now - got the extortionate offline magazine ads. and controlling more of the online space as well if what you see as the Panda research is half correct.
I agree there's no logic to a dot org uk downranking if the site is just as good as a co uk. Its just that if you were doing a manual check, there's a lot more spammy org uk than co uk imo. Probably because you can't buy the good co uk ones.
(Actually big media publishers at the top is a double whammy as it just makes getting other site up there more expensive... and guess who's got the money for that ? the big media groups).
I'd have to agree with the consensus on this one. It's not that .org.uk's have been targeted as such but smaller sites with less authority seem to have been given the boot while bigger sites are generally getting the benefit. It's not always like that but I'd say they tweaked up the brand algorithm a bit more.
