Hi everyone , i have just registered , and may i say the site is excellent from what i have seen up till now . I am looking for some advice to get started , i am not going to be fit enough to carry on with the employment i am in at the moment , and affiliate marketing , although i can see it is hard work , i think it is something i could tackle , possibly even make a living with . Even some sound software suggestions would be helpfull.
Sorry if i went on a bit.
    Cheers

One site I recommend for people new to affiliate marketing is Affilorama. You can search it on Google. They offer free software, tutorials and articles for beginners.
Below is a different link to articles that discuss affiliate marketing.

I recently wrote a blog website that went through the whole process of joining affiliate networks, registering a domain, purchasing hosting and creating a website using wordpress.

I only posted a link to the blog a few days ago on this forum, you can find it here:
A Guide on how to Create a Niche Affiliate Website using Wordpress

Is this of any use to you?

Hi again Liveland , i have had a look through your blog , and i'm very impressed , still have to get my head round a lot of it , but i think it covers just about everything i might need , just need to figure out what i can sell which is relevent to my own knowledge base , i am an electrical engineer so maybe i can work on that.Is it viable to aproach manufacturers personaly or should i go through one of the networks .

I tend to contact retailers via the networks, mainly to ask about best selling products, exclusive voucher codes, etc. The network websites provide the retailer contact details.

Creating a site about something you have good knowledge certainly makes it a lot easier to write good content. Regarding retailers, there are quite a few selling electrics including allaboutelectrics.co.uk who offer quite a good commission rate, screwfix, b&q (all on affiliate window).

Hi Liveland , thanks for the advice , some of the equipment i could talk about is pretty heavy , as in many £k per item , but i will have to see if they deal with affiliates , can you or anyone reading this , please give me your opinion of a company called moonfruit , i have been reading up on their site and they look quite good , or BZ9.
