Anyone? Pls![]()
Good Morning Fellow Affiliators!
I am very new to this. We are a group buying website in the UK who are setting up a network of affiliates. I will be building it very slowly but each of our vendors we have signed up so far have asked wether they can affiliate with us for a percentage of conversion of sale.
We are using HasOffers for now as it seems not too difficult to setup, however please can i ask some questions to you pros out there?
I understand that the affiliate is the one who converts traffic and hopefully sales from their site to ours
- We are the network but it keeps mentioning advertisers. Who are the advertisers?
- From watching the videos is it correct that when we setup the offers it provides me with some code which WE put in our confirmation email once a sale has been purchased?
- The affiliate then logs in and selects the offer and puts their code into their website?
- We then have the graphics/logos hyperlinked to our site from theirs and the tracking pixel should pick up all the activity between us and them. Is this correct?
I appreciate that these are basic questions but we are just getting started and we arent developers.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Best Regards

Can HasOffers not provide some support?
It's difficult for me to exactly understand your questions, but usually you need to provide script codes, (often HTML or Javascript) to an affiliate, who will then copy and paste the code into their website. This will then display an advert for the merchant website ("the advertiser", probably) on the affiliate's site. The HasOffers interface can track any clicks on this ad and attribute them to the particular affiliate.
Hope that helps a bit.
Rgds
accelerator,
thanks v much for the reply. So i am the advertiser, i create an offer for each affiliate, that generates the code to go to their website and then they can download a graphic from the program and link the graphic to the code. (all in one breath!!)
I think this is going to be harder than i originally thought!
Well for starters hasoffers kind of generalizes every term in the book and it can seem a bit confusing both for new merchants and affiliates. Offers are nothing but campaigns that you create. You create an offer/campaign and the affiliates promotes it. You don't have to create multiple campaigns/offers unless they vary on the commission front.
The affiliate logs into hasoffers site for your brand, selects the offer/banner and places the tracking code.
I wrote a review on an affiliate program that makes use of the hasoffers platform, although the niche might be different, the same principles apply => Source
