Afternoon All.
I'd like to set up a set an amazon affiliate site but I'm having trouble picking something that isn't too competitive but still offers a few searches a day.
Something is wrong I'm not finding niches with reasonable competition, please have a look over my method and see if I'm on the right path.
what I'm doing is:-
- Pick something Amazon sells eg - electric drills/air hockey tables .....
- Drop it into ScrapeBox run the Wonder Wheel scraper to level 4 or the standard scraper several times. Scraping then re-scraping using the previous results.
- Collect the search terms (100's pos 1000's)
- Paste them into a spreadsheet
- Copy 100 at a time into G's keyword tool
- Save any resulting keyphrases that look possible usually 3 or more words long.
- Check the competition with Market Samuri
and that's were it all goes south, I find time and time again for each keyphrase that I'm banging into well optimized, old sites. Given time and the application of major £ I could probably get past most but it wouldn't be profitable.
Any suggestions much appreciated, should I be going even smaller - particular brands, electric hammer drills not electric drills? The thing with scraping keywords the way I do is that it automatically works down to the longer tail phrases so I'm not sure....
The other thing I'm not sure about is MS competition results are they for exact match on my keyword phrase? Should I be using some other competition checker? If so what?
