Hey guys and gals, Adam here.
I landed a great job with a big Affiliate Network last week, mostly down to my degree and experience with digital marketing/media more so than my affiliate experience.

I've spent the last week of work sending my networks offers to previous clients, a few bites, a few sales, nothing majorly crazy.

I am also tasked with finding appropriate new publisers and affiliates to join and run offers on our network.

    Where do I start?!

I've been using LinkedIn and had moderate success there, we run CPL and it's not exactly the hot ticket at the moment.

I've joined a few other message boards, but not even a reply, I am very lost and in need of some guidance, so anything would be greatly appreciated, and I'll help in the future as much as possible.

    Thanks guys!

Whats the USP of who your promoting? Figure out what makes the merchants on your network better than similar merchants on other networks (better commissions? longer cookie lengths? discount codes? great communication?, etc) and shout it from the rooftops.

It's all about being consistant wih your communications, letting affiliates know what makes you special and figuring out ways to make your affiliates money. If your affiliates are makign money then your merchants are making money and your network is making money, hence everyone's happy.

Oh and ask the people your working with for help, the only stupid question is the one that isn't asked.

    Thanks for the reply Molly.
As I'm dealing with numerous and very varied offers, I've got a variety of different USP's, which I am of course mentioning in all communication with prospective clients. Same story goes for the current/prospective merchants on the network, receiving a better quality of service.

As for meeting new publishers, that's my stumbling block. I have these offers that I'm making sound (more) amazing, yet finding people to run them is the tricky part. That's where I'm looking for assisstance. Is there a specific place I should be looking? I've trawled through Google and the results are leaving alot to be desired.

I should say, get a reference from the affiliates and call the real users of those affiliates to make sure they are benifitted for the dollar amounts they are spending.
