Hello all, as a web developer I have the opportunity to create an extra revenue stream by referring clients to affiliate programs so I have a few questions regarding this.

For example I am working on a travel information site for a client who wants a block of hotel offers on the pages. The client obviously wants the referral commission but I was thinking that I would be able to receive a small commission for recommending them to a particular program? (Downstream\Tiered affiliate?)

I'm looking at the hotels.com program, does anyone know if they have a tiered program? If not, does anyone know of any programs that will let me signup and then signup my client so that we both get commission? How would I go about it? Will hotels.com give me an affiliate link that I can use to sign up the client?

    Any advice appreciated.

    Andy.

P.S Does Google Adsense have an affiliate program?

I'm pretty sure AdSense no longer has an affiliate programme (closed years ago).

I believe that Affiliate Future and Affiliate Window allow you to refer other affiliates and receive tiered commissions.

you're probably referring to referrring your clients to a network, so they set up an affiliate programme for their site

If so, most networks will give you incentives for introducing clients to them - speak to their sales team, explain what you are looking for, they'll let you know what referral fees they offer.

@accelerator - thanks, I hadn't thought about referring them to affiliatewindow, i'll definitely look into that.

@Hero - yeah that's what I was meaning, thanks, I'll get in touch with hotels.com

On a side note, I was hoping to have adverts from hotel\holiday companies that had relevant information in the advert (kind of like Google Ads) but not that specific, when I had a quick look at hotels.com they only had image banners. Are there any hotel\holiday sites that will have this? Maybe something like 'todays best offers' instead of GIF or flash banner?

    Thanks.
