Hello all, I've been reading the site on and off for a while and thought it was about time I started getting involved in the forum. Just wanted to say hello first before I posted any appeals for help...
My main task at the moment is attempting to monetise a content-based magazine website. I also made the usual mistakes a while back of thinking this affiliate marketing thing would be easy, bought a few domains...then never got round to doing anything with them. But that's another story.
For now the main task is to try and engage a fairly web-savvy and switched-on readership in things which may bring money, or to drive traffic to the point where we get enough general visitors who may be engaged by ads or aff links.
Had very little joy with ad sense, amazon and ticket affiliate links so far (click through rates are just minimum), so I think pushing well chosen products in other ways may be a better way to go.
Anyway, I've got some ideas which I'll post in the general forum as well.
Really enjoy the forum anyway, it's been by far the most useful port of call for researching AM. Look forward to talking to some of you more often...

Thanks Molly, hopefully it'll inspire me to actually do something with some of my sites this time round.
Your press release distribution looks interesting by the way, that may well come in useful at some point...
Just a quick note to say good luck!
