Hi everyone.

I run a retail website and am looking to increase traffic via affiliate marketing. I know the industry I'm in well but haven't a clue when it comes to web marketing or affiliate marketing etc...

The site sells sports supplements i.e. protein etc...

I'm looking for any advice you can offer fo how I would start recruiting affiliates for the site, and also what type of software I'd need to have implemented to track where the orders are coming from to be able to pay my affiliates.

Any help or direction would be very much appreciated.

If you sign up as an affiliate the company will provide you with information on how to track your product/sales/site traffic.

Some even offer tutorials on how to market your site

Some of the methods to consider in driving traffic to your site are article writing, blogging, blog commenting, forum posting, social networking, social bookmarking, web 2.0 properties, rss feeds, press release and many more.

Your niche could do well with Clickbank. Have you tried it out or do you want to manage an inhouse only affiliate program?
