Sorry, can't answer your question but just wanted to congratulate you on your first sale - I'm just starting out and I'm going to frame it when I earn my first commission! Well done!
Hello to all, I'm new around here, just thought I would pop a message to say Hi and give a little info about me and where I'm at.
I have been working in the web development industry for about 2 and a half years now and have recently started dabbling in affiliate marketing. I took the plunge a month back and bought a few domains (3 dot coms), all related to a certain brand (with the brand name in the actual domain), after reading I found this to be a mistake but I've continued with them anyway (hopefully they won't take my sites from me).
I've been blogging for a while on a personal blog about the brand and yesterday got my first sale tracked, 1 click, 100% conversion with £4.55 commission, I was really chuffed and it's really inspired me to keep moving.
I've got loads of questions in my head and will be using the forum to pick all of your brains so thanks personally to all who help others on here, newbies like myself, much respect.
My first question is... Have any others on here got any domains with Brands in, and what is the worst that can happen to me if they don't want me using their brand in the domain?
Jonathan

Hmmmm you could receive a nice letter from the Brands lawyers and be required to hand over /take site.....
Some would sue at the drop of a hat whilst other won't do anything.
Don't be surprised if you are contacted by their lawyers (lowest life form on the planet along with politicians and traffic wardens ) !!
Yup they'll write to you and tell you that your breaching their trademarks and that they want to take control of the domain.
If you hand it over you'll generally not have costs involved.
If you fight it, well ... good luck on that one lol.
I wouldn't build an affiliate marketing strategy around domains that I know may well be taken off me, not unless the short term gains were huge, otherwise your potentially wasting your time when you could be building a long term project that will pay financial rewards for years to come.
Just my thoughts.
