Hi Guys
I wondered if you could give me some advice?
I am in the process of starting up a small tour operating company providing holidays to international destinations. My company will be providing the ground package to customers i.e hotels, transfers, vehicle hire etc. However I want to have an area of my website where visitors can find out information about booking flights and air travel. I am unsure wether to set up affiliate deals with airlines individually, advertising their product on my site or whether to set up a deal with a search engine such as Lilligo, Skyscanner or Easyvoyage for example. If I set up affiliate deals with individual airlines it means i can gain commission on ticket sales generated on the airline's website which can vary from 1.5% to 2%. If I go down the route of setting up an affiliate scheme with one of the flight comparison/search engines ten they pay on average £0.13 per outgoing click or lead. It certainly would be much easier for me to have a search engine plugged into my site as my site visitors would have the ability to look at different flight options at the one time thus making the user experience of my site alot better. If I set up invdividual affiliates with airlines and advertize them on my site it may make the customer experience a little more time consuming when they are looking for a flight. Im not sure which would be the best option for me as I am keen to make as much commission from the airline part of the holiday as possible, then again I want to make the user experience of my site as good as possible. If anyone has any advice or suggestions it would be great to hear from you. Regards
