I'm sorry...... I'm kind of new to affiliate marketing. I meant when you're affiliated with a certain program, sometimes people write articles to promote them. Some article directories allow for links and others don't. Which ones have any of you had the most success with (as far as sales/referrals.... allowing links, etc?

You could submit an article to one of the main sites like Ezine Articles, or to a popular blog in your niche. Once you've got an article online, you can then get it spread further afield using social bookmarking sites like Digg.com. If you submit to a general article directory like Ezine, it's advisable to do some keyword research, to make sure your article gets featured on the search engines - that's less important if you submit to someone's blog.

I only started using it last week and I like it. Got a few comments on my article after an hour! Only problem is they get rated, so if the article is spammy or not good quality I wouldn't really be bothered.

Edit - I heard you need a rating of 75 at least to get a do follow backlink on hubpages, not sure if it's true though.

The best place to publish your articles is in your blog. They will be treated as original and helpful content instead of content farm juice. Use some free blogging engines which support the redirect to your domain (Blogger.com, Posterous.com, Tumblr.com etc. Wordpress.com redirect is paid.)
