Can you re-post your own articles?

Can you submit the same article to various article submission sites? Is it not allowed or even frowned upon?

If you want to post the same article to multiple article distribution sites there is no issue in you doing so.

I have done it many times and never had one rejected.

I've always thought that duplicate content would be frowned upon and would reduce the value of the link, is that not the case if the duplicate is just on article sites and doesn't appear on your own site?

Your absolutely right, the link value from submitting the same article to 10 sites wouldn't be the same as the link value from an original article to each of those 10 sites, but that wasn't the original question
