Hi, I want to start building an email list but would rather use a virtual office than a home address as I have family here. If it was just me I would not mind putting my address down.

At present I am a sole trader with my home address registered as my business address with hmrc, paypal, hosting, domains, networks, invoices and any where else that requires an address.

Would I need to inform hmrc as well as all these other places if I start using a vitual office in order to change my address. Anyone else done this?

With a ltd company, HMRC want the address where you're registered with Companies House.

As far as I know, with sole traders, HMRC will want your trading address, which in this case is your virtual office. I would advise calling them to check first hand. Hope this helps

I did something similar as a sole trader, they wanted home address as your official registered address but you can add a correspondence address (your virtual office address) and use this on other correspondence as well.

That's what I did cjm1982. Have you found a good company for your virtual address? If not i would highly recommend alldayPA's virtual office services. They have been a lifeline for me in the past.
