I did my e-book in the simpliest way. I use Office Starter, so i wrote it in Word. Then clicked Save As and set the document type to PDF. All the links in thes e-book are clickable. Some of them contains affiliate links, so if someone clicks them we get some direct traffic to our affiliate tracker URL.

Thanks for your reply. Im using word 2010, and have tried what you've suggested but failed miserably. The PDF option to 'save in' is not there. HELP

OK, there is another option. Do You have Gmail? If so, please add the book text to the Google Docs. Of course you will have to adjust some text styles and formatting. Then try to download it as PDF.

I use Bullzip (FREE PDF Printer) which is a free PDF creator. The only restriction with inserting hyperlinks is that the links have to be the full url, otherwise the link won't be active in the final pdf document.

i.e. you have to use something like
    HTML Code:
    http://www etc etc
in the document and not 'Click Here' hyperlinked text.

Probaly better explained from this Q & A Extract:
Why don't some of the links in the document that I printed work in the PDF file?
If you define links in your document inside a program such as Microsoft Word then only the text is printed to the PDF file. The Adobe PDF Reader will recognize a text that shows a valid hyperlink and underline that text. This means that you have to type the entire web address or email address for the text to be recognized as a link in the resulting document.

Apart from that, Bullzip works a treat and is easy to use.
    Hope that helps!

Hi - I've used Nitro pdf and found it's fine for hyperlinks. I've recently used Open Office for the first time (also free!) to create an eBook and it's really easy to convert to pdf from this program - it's got an option to export directly as a pdf and works perfectly. The links I used didn't show as the full url - I was able to cloak them, and they still worked fine.
