    Hi all,

I'm new to affiliate marketing and just set up my first website. I'd like to share the link with you learned folk on here for your honest feedback please.

I'm worried about posting the site address on here so that this post doesn't show up in a google search when the site's established. Should i just hyperlink it into my post?

    Thanks for your patience

    Welcome to the forum Tat!

No need to post the link (and shouldn't anyway, see: Site Reviews - Please Read) - simply post it using the format mysite-com or mysite dot com

If that still worries you then you can always edit your post when you need to.

    Best of luck
    Bud

I think it's a great start. Clearly focused niche. Well chose theme. Nice, simple clean design. Don't think you'll get many banner clicks with current ad positioning. Also, the linked pages on the 'Treatments' page are 404 not found.

    Thank you very much
    Steve-As.

I've fixed the link to the treatments page on the causes page.

Where do you think I should position my banners to get the maximum number of clicks?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Tat,

Site is looking good. Not a bad start at all!

(Puts on his merchant hat) We sell loads of hair loss and alopecia products on Pharmacy First. We have some of the most competitive prices going too. If you want I could even help you with some fresh content about specific products and things for your blog.

    Just drop me an email.

Hi Mate, well done on your new site. Great start - better than I did. But I'd suggest you do a few additional things too:

    1. Break up the text on homepage so that as I view on my screen, there's no more than 3 lines of text representing any 'paragraoph'. Invite me into read. Too much text and I get bored, or blinded and quickly lose interest.

    2. Complement the better formatted homepage with some images. At least one image to be at the side (left or right aligned) of the opening 300px.

    3. Add in some bullet points so I can quickly scan what your site is about and to break up large chunks of text.

    4. Add in some links to other internal pages on your site.

    5. I may also suggest rather than send people straight to your merchant with the text links on the pages, maybe write your own review on your own site and drive traffic to that to do some preselling BEFORE you send the user to the merchant. This will give you good chance to add more content to your site and may also increase your chances of getting the sale if you learn how to presell well.

    Good luck!

Thank you very much Whiteknight! I'll get on it straight away. I'm struggling with pictures at the moment. I need to find pictures of people with the condition i'm talking about. Oh well i'll put in some neutral space fillers at the moment. But thanks very much for your formatting feedback and pre-selling idea. I think i'll make that review you mentioned my first post.

    I'm all excited

    Thanks again!

    1. Images - Give credit to original source or get permission before you use them:

    2. Happy smiling people and natural images always give a good first impression. You don't necessarily need to show the condition right away, but maybe an attractive person in the summer sun enjoying how life is now that they've successfully treated their tractional alopecia....?

I can't add more than what has been said.

However, I would advise being very careful of copyright when using somebody else's photograph. I am amazed how many people believe that if it's on the internet it's public domain and can be used. That could not be further from the truth and, unless stated otherwise on that page or site, everything is copyrighted and should not be used. Whilst their is a "fair use" clause for the odd image with credit given, you would not get away with that on a commercial site.

Thanks Jill. I'm working on it. I believe affiliate merchants let you use the product pictures from their site, right?

It's the other pictures i've got to extra careful with. Thanks again
