Hi!
Just signed up for A4U and thought it only polite to introduce myself.
I am a newbie to affiliate marketing and have been struggling along for a few months, I have been spending time on Acorn domain names, buying names and generally trying to get to grips with the business. As part of my learning process I have been using Wordpress to build a few sites (badly) and exploring affiliate marketing.
I figured it makes sense to spend between now and christmas soaking up information as possible and start in earnest in 2012, it is quite possible I will drive you mad with stupid questions so I would like to apologise in advance. I am working on a few projects so hopefully I can learn how to capitalise on them here.
Enough from me.
Thank You
Aiden

Thanks Dave
Good advice, I have been reading as much as I can and trying to get ideas for a couple of projects I am working on. There is so much information on here it's daunting but I am sure I will get to grips with it. If any one would like to comment on one of my projects or give me some tips please do:
personalindependencepayment/co/uk This is the welfare benefit that will replace disability living allowance, it's going to be a very difficult site to monetise but I was thinking of adding disability products and charities without over kill as it is mean't to be an information site.
I currently have:
freeaudiobooks/co/uk
freeaudiobooks/org/uk
freeaudiobook/org/uk
I have put them up for sale but at a high price (speculative), I fully expect to try and develop them in the new year, I am aware of audible/co/uk but would love any pointers about how to develop these names.
Thanks in advance.
Aiden
Hello,
Welcome to A4U.

STOP READING NOW!
You've probably learned enough already.
Now you need to start making money. To do that you need to stop reading and start working.
Build your sites, write content and find links for that content.
Do that every day for the next month and then come back in a months time and give us an update.
I guarantee you'll have learned more in those 30 days than you would if you were just 'soaking up the info' until 2012.
Good luck! :-)
Anyone Can Do It: 5 Simple Ideas That Turned £600 A Month Into £1800 A Month
Hi there - that's really good advice - but I think one of the hardest things for us newcomers is knowing how to balance out 'learning' and 'doing' - to some extent you've just got to learn on the job, as you say.
