    Hi, I bought this site last week from Flippa. This is my first affiliate website. It is on 1st page of google for : flower delivery uk

    Since I got the site it has received 40 uniques, with only 1 conversion. This is very low as conversion in this niche are above 10% according to affiliate window reporting for flower delivery merchants.

    Can you please review my site and give me your opinion if anything needs to be changed?

    The site is: flower-delivery-uk dot net

    Thank you!

    Hi

    A couple of things;

    40 unique visitors is far too small a number to base things on, you need to measure conversion with larger visitor numbers to get a better idea.

    Do you know how many clicks are going through to the merchants? This is what Affiliate Window will be measuring conversion against rather than traffic to your site.

    Suggestion for the site;

    Try adding some product images to the site for the merchants you promote together with prices and call to actions.

    Hi Darren,

    The first thing that strikes me when I log onto your site is that it looks a bit spammy.

    I'd suggest you do some sort of presell on the page, for instance, on the homepage, rather than just have your banner in the top left (which will probably get decent clicks but may not convert as you are experiencing), I'd consider perhaps a short, snappy opening paragraph that introduces 3 of the best flower delivery companies in the UK and then below that a table with maybe 3 flower delivery company options side by side.

    In the table, you need to tell the user why each company is good, and perhaps give some background info too (next day delivery/cheapest delivery/most customers etc.) and basically just try and SELL the idea of the websites that your links point to, so that before the user lands on the merchant, they already have an idea in their heads of what to expect.

    You could probably achieve this by writing a new post and inside the post do the table thing.

    You do need some sort of presell though helping the user understand WHERE you are sending them and WHY.

    Good luck though!

    Hi - just had a look at your site and my initial impression was that the copy is just doesn't 'grab' me - visually, it's not easy to read - paragraphs of very small, faint text and your top headline doesn't really tell me anything - discount codes for what? was my first thought. Headlines are really critical - if you read John Caple's classic text on advertising methods, he devotes several chapters just to headlines, because they're so important - if your headline grabs your visitor's attention, they're more likely to read on. You need to make it crystal clear to your visitor exactly what you're offering and what they're going to get out of your site.

    The other thing that struck me reading the first few paragraphs was the repetition of the word 'cheap' - people want 'value' and the word 'cheap' smacks of bargain basement stuff - I'm not sure I'd want to think I was buying someone 'cheap' flowers.

    Sorry if that sounds very critical - I'm quite new to this business myself, but one of the things I've learnt so far is how important good copywriting is to the success or failure of any advertising campaign.

    You've done a fantastic job getting to page one of Google, though - quite an achievement!

    I wish you every success with your business,

    Kind regards,

    Sue
