Apart from the obvious stuff about organic SERPS and links for traffic, here are a few other things you could do.

1.) Offer freebies- organise some kind of contest.

2.) Comment on similar blogs. Leave links to your site on heavy traffic sites and blogs ( do this well, and there could be plenty of traffic coming your way!)

3.) Create some link bait articles ( controversial for ex) so that people feel inclined to comment and spread the word.

    Is that conversions or clicks?

If it's just a few clicks try finding keywords that don't cost as much per click. If it's conversions then you'll need to take into consideration keyword choice, ad wording and landing page format.

I've found article distribution to be quite a useful way of generating inward links to websites. If the article is crafted carefully enough it generally gets picked up by others and posted around.

In my experience press releases have tended to achieve less results.

What about social media - you could set up a Facebook Fan Page and link this to your site, also link up with Twitter and LinkedIn?

Tim01, can you tell us in which niche/industry your website operates?
It would be easier to give you more specific suggestions then.

What are the exact searches for your keywords?

Or give us a link to your site and I'll try and help. If you're aiming at a new niche, then PPC, if not it's SEO all the way - but only if you have a viable site that is aiming at some juicy keywords.

That would really annoy me if it popped up every time I visited, actually, it would annoy me if I visited for the first time. Also doesn't help having a picture of a female pop up if you want a male to appear. The English used is also terrible, 'hi vanessa for tc workouts' - no upper case and 'for' should be 'from'. I'm assuming you've come on here just to plug your service so those are some pointers.
