Can I use my youtube channels for webgains account application?

Hi, I'm new here and also a newbie in internet marketing.

There is this site (entertainment related) I want to promote, and I've been building relevant youtube accounts to do exactly that, uploading videos and getting views & subscriptions. So far I've got over 18K views and 200 subscriptions over a short time period.

Then I've been experimenting by putting product links in the description to see if people click them (which they did).

Now this particular site I want to promote uses webgains (US and UK) for their affiliate need so I recently applied for a UK webgains account but unfortunetly got rejected..

I opted to use youtube instead of setting up my own site because well, it's a lot easier to get traffic and maintain. My target audience is more interested in videos themselves rather than blogs or what I think of them..

If I have to build a totally new site, it would just be a blog with youtube videos embeded and it would take a lot of time and effort to make one without any guarrantee that it will pull in enough traffic like you do with youtube.

The rejection letter said "There is at least one irregularity in your application" so I sent an email to support asking whether it was because I didn't have my own domain site.

But the reply I got just said "Your application was declined as your site is not currently live"

So I was still at a loss whether I'm allowed to submit a youtube channel as my website and ended up here asking you good people.

Can somebody please guide me to the right direction?

There could have been many reasons why your application was rejected, not necessarily relating to your YouTube videos/channel.
